What a fantastic December this has been. We had a great Sweet Arts Show this year at the Hong Kong Bakery Expo.
We invited guest artists from UK, USA, Malaysia and Brunei to make it all happen.
Our booth was one big bowl of happy confetti:)
Here are some of our display cakes we made for the show. This year we went with the theme of whimsy and fun:) We designed the cakes highlighting the use of Satin Ice, Sugar Arts airbrush colors and dust, Molds & stencils.
As you can see, our cakes were very popular:)
We also had decmonstrations galore so there were plenty of ideas and techniques for everyone to share. Edward Frys from The Sugar Art featuring his fabulous color dusts, edible glitters and air brush machines, Dominic from Marvelous Molds, Satin Ice had a nice area demonstrating their fabulous fondant and gumpaste. Peggy Tucker demoing the Spellbinders machine & Susan Carberry showing her fabulous fondant & deco gel techniques. Luving our topsy turvy wedding cake on the left too:)Here is William Tan from Ipoh & Faridah from Brunei doing doing their master fondant work.
Here I am your's truly:) showing some super easy and impressive lace decor. I had so much fun meeting our fans face to face too.
We tried really hard to get a group picture but it was just impossible as everyone was so busy. So here was our best shot:)
David & Edward from David Cakes busy teaching their popular master royal icing workshop at the expo.
On the last day of the expo we announced the winners of the Wilton international cake decorating competition. Congrats to Cynthia, Connie & Tiffany
Oh and last but certainly not least LI tv did some filming of all of the artists and will be featuring the footage in a couple of weeks highlighting the Sweet Arts Show and Cake decorating. Stay tuned woo Hooo I"ll keep Y'all posted:)
