Highlights from Edward Fry's class!

We had a great week with Edward Frys'. Time with him just flew by.

Here are some highlights:)

Here is the first day of class where the students made friends with their airbrush machine and did some stencil work.

They also learned how to color shade on a cake with out the cake looking muddy.

One of their final projects was to airbrushing a mask. Highlighting all the facial features.

They also got to beautify their beautifully sprayed rainbow cake with hearts. LUV!

My favourite part and also I'm sure it was the students fave part too.

They got a chance to take photos with Edward wearing his Food network cake challenge chefs jacket:)

Oh and also pose with him wearing their gorgeous masks:)

Don't think I missed out on this fun....

I even had a hand in airbrushing. It was really great learning from the Master!

Happiness!

Thank you Edward for airbrushing with us and sharing all your amazing talent:)

Janet Evers Demo & More

Its been an exciting month. Fall is here, Janet Evers was here and Edward Frys is here. We really don't have anything to complain about :)Here are some highlights from Janet's Demo. It was truly inspiring to watch her decorate with piping gel. Most people including myself know piping gel as a medium that thins icing out for writing & to make water.

But oh no not Janet, with Premium Piping gel, she really inspired us to think out of the box and see the endless possibilities of this gel. I love working with the Gel, its so easy and great to work with.

The consistency of the gel makes it so easy to pipe a glass like finish on these Christmas lights. And also get a real flame like finish on the candles.

its also great for stenciling. Look at this cute Halloween Stencil.

The best part is the text. Luv the multi color finish.

You can even pipe with this icing gel and it won't drip everywhere. Look at the beads on the side of the cake.

Embossing technique with the piping gel

Luv these butterflies.

As you can see we all had a blast with Janet. Over 60 ppl came to attend her demo. We left inspired and very excited to decorate:)

Thank you Janet for sharing your passion, skills and most of all your enthusiasm for cake decorating.

Hi hi,

Yes, I'm still around:) Its been a while I know.....I"ve just been a lil caught up with preparing for Edward Fry's and Janet Ever's arrival.

OHhhhhhhhhhhhhh I luv it:) All the ideas that go through my mind when I see all the new goodies.

As you all may know by now, I'm not a fan of Spooky Halloween but rather Cute and Happy Halloween. In fact, we call it HAPPYWEEN in our deco room. Every year, we try to come up with some new "HAPPYWEEN" treats:)

Here is our 2011 Happyween goodies!

Cake -to-Go:)

Cookies

Sparkly Happyween cupcakes:)

This year will be our first year introducing Halloween Cake pops. I hope you love them as much as we do:)

And for all you Spooky Halloween fans out there, here's a lil something for you. We did a cake that was inspired by the iphone game Plants & Zombies. Though kind of spooky, I had a great time doing it.

And YES, I have a video:) HAPPINESS!!!
