Cakes make us SMILE!

 One of the best parts about being a cake decorator is being apart of peoples celebrations.  We have had the honor of being apart of many and here are our most recent ones we were apart of.  Thank you all for allowing us to be apart of your celebrations. Growing up with you is so much fun and we couldn't ask for anything more:)

Here is a newspaper cake we did for a Grand 88th Birthday. 

It was so well thought out by his grand daughter who wanted the front page of Sing Pao newspaper on the front of the cake.The entire newspaper is eidble.  She also wrote a sweet and heart warming message from the entire family to him. "To the best Dad/Granddad anyone could ever dream of, you are our rock, our role model and our motivation to work hard. Happy 88th Birthday, we love you. " SAWEEEET NEWS!!!!! Heres a message from Clarrisa:

"Thank you so much for the newspaper cake you created for my grandpa's 88th birthday! He loved it and was very proud to show off how much his children and grandchildren loved him. The cake was very much the centre of attention, and made the birthday party an unforgettable one. Thanks again-Clarissa"

Yes, our job gets even sweeter. We made a birthday cupcake tower for Jame's 14th birthday. You have probably seen some of his cakes on our blog before. We have been doing cakes for James since he was 10 years old. He's now officially a teenager and growin up fast. 

"Dear Jacinta,The cupcake tower you made for James' 14th birthday was just fabulous.  James and his daddy loved it and so did our guests.  Thank you again for making James' birthday so special.-Mrs.L"

HAPPY 2nd Birthday Alive Not Dead!!!!

We got to be apart of Alive Not Dead's 2nd birthday. Time sure does fly, it seems like yesterday we did their xtravagant 1st birthday cake.

This year the birthday party was at Grappa's Cellar.

I was asked to do a cut- out version of their fab logo.

Deelite Bag Cakes in the Press

A few weeks ago we had a Mother's Day photo shoot with Next magazine.

The issue is out now.

I had a great time with Cecelia, her mother and Cecelia's darling daughter. Her daughter was such a natural at cake decorating. Especially eating the cake:) As you can see here.

We also snapped a few shots during the photo shoot.

Another one of our bag cakes was featured in East Week magazine. Do you remember our LV bag cake? Check out the video if you haven't seen it.

I had the opportunity to make another birthday cake for Cecelia's sister Irene. Their idea of an LV luggage was fabulous and I had a great time being apart of their celebration. Not only did our LV luggage get featured, but our balloons also got to experience their 15 minutes of fame:)

Last but not least, I got a lil surprise when I was reading The List last week. Our Rainbow Bright cupcakes was noted to be our Notable Women-Karen's favourite dish. She writes "Rainbow Bright cupcakes from Complete Deelite. I could eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Thanks, Karen:)

Shopping Bag Cake-Joyce Style

This week has been a week of Hand Bangs, Jewels and fabulous mother's day treats. You have probably all seen this cake before on our website, but this time, we made it for a mother's birthday. I thought it was cool that her birthday was on the same week as Mother's Day. Talk about a Double Whammy:)

This Joyce Bag Cake is also a friendly reminder that tomorrow is Mother's Day :) Not to worry if you haven't booked those flowers, bought the present or made the reservations at a restaurant, I always think what Mother's love most is quality time with their loved ones. After all, you can never buy memories:)

It was then when the photo was taken that I realized "HELLO" this cake is so much cooler than it looks on photo so we switched gears and made another video for y'all.

Happy 100th Birthday L'oreal

L'oreal celebrated their Grand 100th Birthday yesterday at 9am. And we got to be apart of this GRAND celebration. We did an xtravagant birthday cupcake tower with 250 cupcakes and a logo topper cake. Here's a photo of the topper cake with their fab logo.

And to match their logo, we decorated all 250 cupcake with matching stars

The photos of the entire stand is not out yet, but I'll be sure to post it as soon as I receive it.

Since we're on the topic of cupcakes, here's another video of a Giant Cupcake we decorated for a 1st birthday. For those of you who have been following our blog, you have probably seen our Giant cupcake design before. Since then, this cake design has been one of our most popular designs for 1st birthday.

Rose Cascade Cake

We decorated this Fabulous 40th birthday cake for a very special birthday girl.
The original design was actually made for a wedding but has also been very popular for anniversaries and birthdays.

We used real tea roses in different shades of red. The flavor of the cake was a deelish strawberry short cake. We also highlighted each tier with a sparkly silver ribbon finish.

Animal House Cake

We've been getting rave reviews on our animal figurine creations. Here's another one which I thought you would all enjoy. All the farm animals were hand sculpted with fondant. My personal favourite is our lil oink oink piggy playing in mud.
